Patient Personality: Carol Anne is beyond her years, she often knows what is happening before anyone else around her does. At first meeting she is seemingly shy but rather she is taking in all she can about a person; listening, watching and drawing conclusions. She thinks and communicates rather simply and in straight forward terms often speaking only when spoken to. Brief History: Born to Steven and Diane Freeling in their new suburban home, she is the youngest child of three. At the tender age of 5, she unknowingly began a week long correspondence with a host of ghosts through the snowy family TV set. This led to her abduction and a battle for her soul that would rage on for the next 6 years of her young life. The Freeling home is eventually invaded by ghosts through their television set, whom are under control of a demon known as "the Beast." The ghosts abduct Carol Anne, attracted to her life force and believing she will help lead them into the "Light." Carol Anne is eventually retrieved from the other side and, following a second attack by the Beast that reveals the ghosts had originated from an improperly relocated cemetery underneath the neighborhood, the family flees from Cuesta Verde.
